A New Low in Political Morality
The current administration has set a new standard of a low in political morality. I have no problem with whoever wins the election whether I agree with them or not -that is after all a democracy, something we pride ourselves in. However, the current administration has conducted itself in a manner that is most unfortunate. These actions include sneaking in Assembly Bill 11, holding the threat of state employee lay-offs in order to get it passed, re-districting to favor one party (I also suspect but cannot state categorically that the voter ID law is intended to prevent voting by groups who traditionally vote against one party).
Come on folks –go ahead and win fair and square based on your ideas and convincing people, not in an “underhand manner.”
Such actions are deplorable no matter who undertakes them -Republicans, Democrats, or anyone else. It is our civic duty to take notice –Republican supporters, Democratic supporters, independents, all of us.
We have two choices –either let it be business as usual or use the power of our votes and make a statement “We will not tolerate dirty politics in Wisconsin.”
